〖語法〗 (1) 通例「too＋形容詞＋a＋名詞」の語順をとるが... a too hot day とすることもある. (2) 複数または名詞を修飾する形容詞の前には too は用いられない：^× too hot days / ^×too hot weather. ただし， much， little などの数量詞と共に用いるのは可： too much time / too little money. (3) 形容詞化しない動詞的意味の強い過去分詞の場合は too の後に much を用いると堅い表現となる： I was too (much) disturbed by that news. その知らせにとても心配になった. (4) too を修飾するには much， a lot， far， a little， a bit， slightly， rather をつける： It's much too high. それはあんまり高すぎる
